Polymer Gel/Carbon Nanotube Composites

Researchers at the Northwestern University MRSEC have combined a thermo-reversible gel and carbon nanotubes to create a model system. The composite material has a low viscosity solution at high temperatures that enables the dispersion of the nanotubes. At low temperatures, a tough gel is formed that can be handled and tested for mechanical property enhancements.
